Ammunition Tracing Pilot Studies
In 2006, the Small Arms Survey began collecting and analysing information on small-calibre ammunition. The Survey has since launched small pilot projects in Brazil, Kenya, Sudan, and Uganda.
The Small Arms Survey's Ammunition Tracing project has evolved into a central repository for information on ammunition recorded throughout the world. The Survey provides an ammunition tracing service to all practitioners in the field of arms violence reduction and to anyone with a stake in restricting the trade in illicit ammunition.
